I love visiting schools and libraries and interacting with my young readers! I offer both in-person and virtual visits, and especially enjoy meeting our military community.

Full Day Visit
Description:
6-hour visit includes a 30-45 minute presentation per grade level or multiple grade level assemblies. I require 10 minutes between presentations.What’s Included:
Interactive Maggie the Military Rat book reading.
Behind-the-scenes look at the publishing process.
Q&A session.Each child in class takes home a bookmark or coloring page. One copy of Maggie the Military Rat donated to school’s library.
Lunch with students, book signings, classroom drop-ins, you name it. Once I'm there, my time is yours.
Investment:

What’s Included in Your Visit
Presentation
My presentation includes a PowerPoint slideshow in which I share my background, my journey as an author, the process of publishing my book, as well as projected book pages so everyone in the audience can engage with the text and illustrations while I read the book.
Affordability
I am very passionate about educating and inspiring children and want every school to have the opportunity to provide their children with this experience. If budget is a concern, contact me for ideas on how to fund a school visit.
Bonuses
I will bring my large Maggie cutout (a great photo op for kids and teachers) and bookmarks or coloring sheets for students. I will also donate a signed copy of my book to your school library!

Maggie the Military Rat
Maggie P. Worthington is a military rat—at least, she wants to be. She tries to enlist, but falls short. She tries to serve the soldiers, but gets kicked out of the mess hall. Even her attempt to send letters to the troops misfires! Will Maggie find her own way to serve?
